For people who aren't fans of One Piece (which, most of you are not, which is sad, as it's better than Bleach or Naruto will ever hope to be), this doesn't really apply.

But for those who do...



I was talking with a friend a little while ago and she had informed me that One Piece FUNi-Style (AKA Fun Piece) had stopped being shown on Cartoon Network. I was sad to hear this, but I guess that was it's fate.... until I started to notice that shows that had replaced it (Bakugan, that Transformers pseduo-anime crap and others) were no longer part of Toonami's line-up. Last I recall, actually, I saw Samurai Jack on there instead. Which is equally as awesome.

That being said, I think Fun Piece just took a dive and has come back out of it. With the DVDs of the re-dubbed, and unedited episodes being released (Wiki stated 1-47 (which goes to about Loguetown, or just before, if I remember) had been released), I think there's no reason to stop showing it. So I searched for the "FUNi" opening on Youtube as Wiki stated that that opening had been redone too.

....I was EXTREMELY pleased. For those not familiar with the original opening, the lyrics, minus a few, are pretty much the EXACT same as the Japanese version, so they are really trying hard to keep it in the same sense as the original version. And it sounds pretty damn awesome.

From there I saw a video response of the fourth opening to One Piece...... It was posted on April 29th, and I'm pretty sure I have not talked to the person I said I had talked to during that time. Which means.... It's still going, .

Oddly enough, the fourth opening is my least favorite opening, but I like the dub version for some reason, hahahah. I can't wait until they get to Kokoro no Chizu, which is my third favorite opening. (Then BRAND NEW WORLD (Opening 6) and Jungle P (Opening 8 (the current one)))

For those who have never seen One Piece, you should. I will never understand why it is not so popular in the U.S., but I hope as dumbass Naruto dies out and other useless manga/anime (Mx0 apparently ended, and had a fairly bad ending if you ask me), One Piece will get stronger and have more worldwide appeal. (Or mainly U.S., since people in the U.S. are too obsessed with stupid Ninja Jutsu that don't even exist) ((Yes, I am dissing people who like Naruto, shoot me if you want too, ))

The DVDs are already on sale (well, duh, XD), so if you want to see One Piece the way it was MEANT to be, not the S**T that 4kids raped onto it, and you have some spare cash. I would HIGHLY recommend it.

As for me, I'm going to wait on some more information about the next One Piece Wii game: Unlimited Cruise. It's apparently going to be released in 2 episodes (Japanese launch is not until July) and BROOKE IS PLAYABLE. (Or at least I think, he does have a character slot on the character page, whereas some usually mainstays (Zoro, Sanji, Robin, Nami) do not (at least not yet), so I hope he is) I haven't played Unlimited Adventure yet, so I probably should since they already appear to be a bit similar (Cruise just has more sailing and more landscape to explore).

I think One Piece is getting very close to toppling the second place marker Dragonball has held for a long time (as far as most selling manga to appear in Shounen Jump), so that's also very exciting. Can't really beat Kochikame and it's 20+ year run, but beating Dragonball is the next best thing.
