HI. I know not many people read long journal entries (especially from me cause I ramble a lot), but this a warning. THIS IS A LONG ONE.
Part 1: Rants
*copy/pasted from Gaia with some edits*
I want to go see The Princess and the Frog.
My friends don't because they're dumb. "DURR, DIZNEY IZ FER KIDZ THEREFORE MOVIE WILL BE TEH SUX!"
Me: "I thought Up was one of the best movies this summer, it was very emotional and---"
Friends: "YOU ARE A DUMBSHIT!! STAR TREEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK!!! SOMEONE SAW IT SEVEN TIMES BECAUSE IT WAS SO F*CKING AWESOME!!"
Me: "But in Up---"
Friends: "F*CK THAT, STAAAARRRR TREEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!"
...I am pissed at them.
Anyways, I'm irritated because I REALLY WANT TO SEE THE MOVIE SO BADLY. ...but I have no one to attend it with (I have probably told a few people this already, XD). I'm pretty sure it'd be weird if I just walked into a theater by myself. ...I also lack a car so... Kind of need to go with someone, XD.
So... I AM PISSED.
....yup.
I need to work on some things myself but it's like, just eating at me now. I really wanted to see it last week, but it was like, "NOPE, KIDDIE MOVIE GROW THE F*CK UP YOU MORON."
....and no, they didn't say that specifically. But hey, what is said is not always what you truly hear. A word to the wise for those who stumble when speaking (myself included). Be clear an concise and don't say anything that can be taken the wrong way. ...too late for those asshats.
....at least I have my special one, and all of my Internet buddies.
You guys all rock!
I apologize for being extremely assertive at points, but I'm just trying to talk to someone.... cause I like talking to people.... >_>
Eh, I don't know where I'm going with this. Sooo....
Change of subject.
HOLY CRAP IT'S A WEEK UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!
(which means: "crap! I need to finish something up that I have been sort of doing and sort of not doing...")
I hope everyone else has a Merry Christmas too!
//End Rant?
I have no clue if that qualifies as a rant. But yeah, that IS on my mind so I thought fair is fair. ...not that anyone cares. And then I'll go hang out with a bear. ...stupid pears.
(When you rhyme you want to rhyme more)

Part 2: ANSWERS!
Lots of peoples are posting their answers to that meme thing. WASN'T MINE EASY, 8D?
I like what
1.
This movie is Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, GUESSED BY NOMAD!
As said, this line is from Pirates of the Caribbean 3. ...shut up, I love the series and I thought this was a good movie. I've really become desensitized to "mindless action" movies (and it doesn't take much for me to consider a film one), but Pirates 3 is still awesome. This line comes near the end of the film during the huge battle in the maelstrom. Will stabbed Davy Jones and he's all like, "Yeah, that doesn't work." ...well, he didn't say that. He said the line in question. But that is a translation!! ...or something. NEXT.
2.
This movie is Aladdin, GUESSED BY SHADOWSCARR!
Yup, this is from Aladdin. Begin tallying all the movies and what companies/directors they come from. I seriously do not remember lines from a lot of films. I can say good things about them, but I don't remember any lines specifically. This line is said by Jafar early on in the movie when he's getting the other half of the Scarab from random thief A. Not sure why I remember it... I guess I chose it because it's vague enough that some would have a hard time guessing. ...except not SSK! (...yes, that is still your nickname.) Good job!
3.
This quote is from Up, GUESSED BY YAKO! *too lazy for icons right now*
I love this movie. It was the best movie of the year. Yeah, sorry but, F*CK STAR TREK. Good film, but you can see why I do not really care for it now. (Given you read part 1 of this entry, XD.) Charles Muntz is just a creep. This line did send shivers down my spine when I watching the film. The music added to it and it was just a very terrifying scene. The character designs obviously distract from it, but when you analyze yourself in that situation (and you are 70+ years old), it is pretty scary. ...I'm being vague because I know some people on my DevList have not seen the movie yet. So I don't want to spoil it. FUN FACT: Muntz comes from "Mintz", the jack-ass that stole Oswald the Rabbit.
4. "...that's not all he's lost."
HOW DID NO ONE GET THIS? It's from Spaceballs! It's during that one segment where the radar got "jammed". So Lord Helmet asks a fellow troop what the bloody hell just happened. He responds by saying, "It's lost the bleeps... bop...bop...bop... It's lost the sweeps... Freezzz, Freeezzz, Frezzzz... and it's lost the creeps... Grrzzeeez, Grrrzzeee, Grrrzeee..." Lord Helmet then says to the head honcho that line, "That's Not all he's lost." ...yup. Oh well, only one movie quote missed.
5.
This movie is Robin Hood: Men in Tights, GUESSED BY NOMAD!
Nomad got this one! ...it's another Mel Brooks movie, 8D. It's the scene in which uh... I think it was at the end. (This is what I mean by I can't recall quotes from films.) It had to do with opening that cage thing... over her.... yeah. Sort of disgusting, that thing. This quote actually came to mind when reading Yako's quotes since she had the one in Spaceballs with the Virgin alarm. ...it somehow reminded me of this quote. Huh.
6.
This quote is from Pirates of the Caribbean, Curse of the Black Pearl, GUESSED BY NOMAD!
...More Pirates! This is a pretty obvious quote if you've seen the first film. Jack just tells Norrington the truth. I guess Jack is happy to just be recognized, even if it's the "worst pirate I've ever heard of." Silly Jack.
7.
This quote is from The Santa Clause 2, GUESSED BY SILVER!
Yeah. This is an odd quote. I was watching stuff on ABC Family as I compiled this list. I was drawing a blank and then the Santa Clause 2 was on again. ...this line makes me laugh for some reason. Basically, the Not!Santa has been "drinking" (he says it's cocoa but he's being so crazy I'm pretty sure it was alcohol) and stays up all night making an army of toy soldiers to work for him. He says this line as he completes the toy soldier. I'm not sure why I find it so funny, but I do.
8.
This is from Monsters Inc. GUESSED BY HOADAO!!
And the last movie quote. Mike Wazowski talking to Roz. FUN FACT? (I'm not totally sure), the voice of Roz is Bob Peterson, the same co-director of Up who also did the voice of Dug. ...hard to imagine, huh? Again, this is another obvious quote if you've seen the film. ...sooo... that's it for the movie quotes!
SO NOW TO THE VIDEOGAME QUOTES.
These were hard for people. This makes me happy. I do prefer Videogames over movies (except when its an adaptation of a movie put onto a game), because the of the interaction factor. I could watch a movie and not remember ANYTHING from it because it never asked me too. And there's a lot of movies that just throw too much sh*t at you that they're a mess. So in general, if a movie can't pull me in in the first 15 minutes, I won't watch it/I'll ignore it. ...one time I fell asleep though. Whoever said "Batman Begins" is a terrific movie was lying. That movie put me to sleep. ...ironically, "The Dark Knight" did too, but that was because it was late, not because it was physically putting me to sleep.
Anywhooos, GAME QUOTES ANSWERS!!
1. "I'm a fawn, you dork."
I grew up with a PSX as my first TV console (gameboys before that). So I never had an N64. As such, a lot of quotes come from PSX games. Such as this quote which is from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. Spyro 2 is sort of the worst in the original series, IMO. But ...whatshernamethatisafawnwhosaysthisquote... was funny. As was Moneybags, this jack-ass bear who took money from you so you could open doorways and make bridges and stuff. ...his voice changed at the end from proper British to a thug for some reason. Huh.
2.
This is from Kirby Super Star/Ultra, GUESSED BY NOMAD!
Kirby quotes! You can't escape my list without them! This is from Kirby Super Star/Ultra, and specifically Revenge of Meta Knight. This is said by Captain Vul (who I think is cool, but no one else does) as the Meta Crew begins to evacuate the dying Halberd. Of all the characters, I think Vul and MK are the only two characters we know safely got off the ship. Vul leaves early on and the rest of the crew stays with MK. The Knights attack Kirby again, but then leave. They say that they evacuate. ...but we never get any real confirmation of it. Vul we can assume got off, he had enough time. Not so sure about the Knights. ...oh, and Sailor Dee. HE WAS THERE UNTIL THE VERY END AND THAT DICK META KNIGHT DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO SAVE HIM. Meta Knight is an asshole.
3. "Oh yeah! Gran told us all about those, what exactly are they?"
Time for more obscurity! Not only is this from the PSX, it's from a game not too many probably remember unless they were big into PSX stuff. It's Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Return. Tomba's bug pal (who essentially acts like Navi, except is funny and other characters do try to tell him to f*ck off) says this line when discussing these mysterious creatures called the "Cappers" with some miner in the Coal Mines. The line is funny when you think about it. If Zippo (the bug) was told ALL ABOUT the Cappers, why the hell would he be asking what they are? Silly Zippo. Charles had the best lines though, shame I didn't use his "behind the scenes" line.
4. "This whole world is like... a giant toy box!!"
It's... Tomba!, the first one. This is part of the last Evil Pig's speech. The "Real" Evil Pig (the lord of the Evil Pigs and essentially the biggest user of Black Magic in the world of Tomba!) is insane. His speeches in the second game are more (since he appears earlier in the game, rather than an endboss in the first game) but I remember this line so well as a kid going, "What the heck? This guy is silly!" Which is true, but he was annoying to capture.
5. "Guy's a broken record."
No one got this, D=? It's from Kingdom Hearts II. Sora says it after Demyx leaves when he is encountered for the first time in Olympus Coliseum. Funny thing is, in Final Mix+ Demyx reappears again right after that scene to explain the Absent Silhouettes. ...for a cowardly Organization member, he sure was gutsy to show back up again.
6.
This game is Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, GUESSED BY NOMAD!
The best line any unit in Fire Emblem can say to another. Oh Ike, you are silly being selective over who can join your team.
*SPOILERS*
This scene occurs near the end of the game when everyone is against the Army of Order. For whatever reason, Duke Tanas (Oliver the big fatty) did not die in Path of Radiance. He re-appears as a boss in one of Ike's last chapters. Because Tanas is so... odd... He can be recruited. Yes, you can RECRUIT A BOSS to join your army. Put the Heron Prince, Rafiel, in Oliver's line of vision. When it becomes his turn he'll walk right up to Rafiel and demand he join the team so he can protect the rare heron. Rafiel doesn't get wtf is going on, and when Ike talks to Oliver, Oliver is all like, "I MUST PROTECT THE RARE!!" Ike, very puzzled and obviously still hating the asshole for that four-part chapter in Path or Radiance spews the quote in question at Oliver. ...Oliver is oblivious. He has his own battle theme though! That's kind of cool.
*NO MORE SPOILERS*
7. "The contents, fresh cucumbers, sliced thinly if you please."
This is from the pretty decent game, Sonic Unleashed. I don't know what was so bad about it, it was decent. *shrug* Anyways, this is said by Professor Pickle, a character voiced by DAN GREEEEEEEEN. Probably the most memorable character from the game, and he is quite funny. I'm not sure why he's obsessed with cucumber sandwiches (and nobody else seems to know either, Tails is even disturbed when the Professor offers to make him one), but it does make a very funny quote. ....oh, and the Wii version was bad. Don't play that.
8. "I know they supply us with oxygen, but these machines just aren't my thing..."
REVOOORRRRR. REEEEEEEVVVOOOOOORRRRRRR. I am disappoint. How did you not get this one?! I put it on the list for you, D; Ah well, I'm sure with the sea of really odd quotes it does become hard to distinguish them. (I remember one on Yako's list from A Bug's Life that I could have easily gotten had it not been for everyone else saying "Sawshank Redemption", making me think otherwise, XD (and because it was in a sea of quotes that I couldn't figure out, XD.))
THIS QUOTE is from the game MOTHER 3, or to be more specific, the translation done by starmen.net of MOTHER3. This is one of the very humorous scenes from Chapter 7. This is one of the first scenes in the underwater area, and the Pigmasks are refueling their oxygen tanks. I do like how literal and funny the game can get to balance with the emotional trauma. Making really creepy mermen give you mouth-to-mouth for oxygen machines is beyond funny. Everyone feels embarrassed after you refill on air (and you need to for the segment of the game). This quote comes from one of the Pigmasks regarding the special oxygen machines, to which the other comments, "I dunno, I kind of enjoy it, y'know?" ...causing the first Pigmask to back away... VERY SLOWLY. So funny. I needed a good quote from MOTHER3 on my list, so glad this one was it!
9. "I'm Roger Red Ant, and I'm gonna blow you to smithereens!"
More PSX obscurity! This is from Croc 2, a game that had a lot more plot and dialogue... but sort of messed up the gameplay. (Like, if you play the first one the second one is radically different in how you survive and what counts as "dead", first game is still better IMO.) In Cossack Village (which oddly enough, has more lava caves than snowy stages) there is a stage called "DANGER! It's Roger Red Ant!" in which you need to save a bunch of Gobbos from the mutant Ant guy. When you start the stage and everytime you go back to that same point in the stage, Roger taunts you and says this quote for some reason. ...I'm not quite sure why. He just says it. He doesn't really succeed in blowing anyone up though, more of just having some really difficult platforming with a health system that makes no sense. Ah well. I needed a Croc quote, so in it went!
10. "Look what I've got, a new gadget!"
...well, it's a PSX game again. BUT COME ON. No one knows this game?! It's Ape Escape, the very first one where the voice acting was cheesy/good (compared to the next games where they just suck). Natalie, the Professor's assistant, yells this to you whenever you get a new gadget during your progression of the game. She seems so proud of it too, even though she obviously didn't make it, the Professor did! But ah well. I'm kind of curious to see if the game implies Spike or Jake having some sort of crush on her, even though they're 10 (lol, and they sound seventeen (but that's why I thought they were cool, XD)) and she's 14. Ah well. ...ANAKIN SKYWALKER. ...don't ask.
11.
This game is Suuuuppperrr Marioooo Sunshine (yahoo!), GUESSED BY REVOR!
This game. Is underrated. I should start by saying, I LOATHE Super Mario 64. It's boring, random on the difficulty meter, some stages look like crap and its music is lackluster save for one or two tracks. (Bowser's Road can kiss my ass, that song sounds so terrible.) So as a result, I have a lot of high appreciation for Sunshine going, "**** the system in the last game, let's do something a bit different!" I love FLUDD, and I liked all the puzzles it had. The segments when it gets rid of the FLUDD are indeed difficult, but it's a fair difficulty. It's not Mario 64 stupid hard or stupid easy. I also thought that Mario, of all games, should have voiced scenes since these characters do actually speak in game. So all of the voice-acted scenes I really do enjoy. ...as to why they abandoned it in Galaxy to the "I AM ROARING THUS IMPLYING I AM TALKING" thing I'll never understand. I think some Nintendo fans are just retarded. I'd rather have the decent voice acting in Sunshine over the stupid "I AM MAKING SOUND EFFECTS THEREFORE I MUST BE TALKING" any day. ...just get the FE characters talking a bit better, XD.
...oh, and this quote comes from the scene where Shadow Mario is revealed to be...!! I'm not telling, you'll have to find out yourself. I did enjoy that twist... even though it is a bit... weird. ...I also loved the environment. MORE GAMES THAT ARE NOT ABOUT VOLLEYBALL SHOULD BE IN A TROPICAL SETTING! ...moving on...
12.
This game is Kirby Super Star/Ultra (Milky Way Wishes), GUESSED BY SILVER!
NOVA> HE ENDS ALL SENTENCES WITH SOMETHING THAT IS NOT A PERIOD>
I AM NOT SURE WHY>>>
HE SPEAKS IN CAPS TOO>
This scene is obviously when Kirby is in front of NOVA, right before that weirdo bashes him out of the way. Is NOVA evil? ...I dunno, is the Genie from Aladdin evil? YOU COULD ARGUE THAT HE WAS!
13.
This is from Tales of Phantasia, GUESSED BY HOADAO!!!
The opening quote. While it is not my favourite in the series, it is definitely high on my list. It's a shame that the US version BUTCHERED F**KING EVERYTHING. So if you played that, I'm sorry you were tortured. That version sucks ass.
This quote is epic. Starting the game on this is puzzling at first, but as you complete the full story it all makes sense. It's almost like a warning, given the chain of events in the game. It's funny that the quote comes from Edward D. Morrison, seeing as he is the one that discovered Dhaos' weakness was Indignation. (DON'T START WITH MOCKING THAT SCENE. IT'S BEEN DONE TO DEATH AND IT WAS NOT A MOCKERY IN THE ORIGINAL VERSION.) The second the quote ends, it just stares at you on the screen as the opening song starts up. It's a nicely crafted idea, the low chords that sort of make the quote so ominous and all, only for them to be the intro to a fairly happy song.
As cliche as it is to pick that one, I can't think of a better quote that defines Phantasia. It and Destiny 2 are probably my favourite RPGs from the Tales series, and also my favourite RPGs to use Time Travel without being ****ing messed up.
14. "That brought back some painful memories..."
...I am surprise. No one got this. It's from Tales of Symphonia. Sheena says this after Collet trips a switch after regaining her senses. ....yeah, if you haven't played the game I'm not going to bother to explain, it's complicated. I would have picked a quote from LOL!MITHOS but all of his quotes are lame. ...he is a lame character. He should burn in hell with Twilight Princess. They are terrible things that should have never of existed. ...well, I get to kill him every playthrough, so I do feel happy about that!
15. "Not 'us'."
This quote... Makes me laugh. Especially from the person who says it. This quote is also from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. The Black Knight says it to Micaiah when she talks to him in the chapter in the desert. It's just... such a weird thing to say. "Not 'us'." It's like I came up to somebody and said, "HOORAY, WE'RE SAVED!"
"Not 'we'."
I dunno. I think it's weird.
16. "YOUR GODS DESTROYED YOU!"
This one was added after the initial journal entry. I was sad I forgot a quote from THE MOST EPIC ZELDA GAME EVER. So I put one in. This is from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Ganondorf has never been such a complex character in the series... and probably never will be again since TP fucked him up. This quote comes late in the game when Ganondorf reaffirms the tragedy that occurred in Hyrule in order to seal him. While it amuses him, it also puzzles him why Link is trying to slay him when in fact his ancestors were most likely also wronged by the three goddesses of the Zelda mythology. Link does not quite understand this, being pulled into the fate of the Triforce due to the King of Hyrule, and as such only reacts to this line as one would anyone yelling at him: "O_O" I could have picked any quote from Ganondorf, to be honest. They're all pretty damn epic. But this one was chosen for how short it is, and for the fact that it is a bit cryptic as to where it comes from.
------------------------------------------------------------------
PART 3: CRAZY SHENANIGANS!
Well, since I want to see The Princess and the Frog so badly, some crazy ideas started popping in my head. Mainly to do with Dr. Facilier because I think he is just the best Disney villain ever now. ...and I haven't seen the movie, but hey, I think Maleficent is over-rated. She could TAKE OVER THE KINGDOM whenever she wants. But no, she only does it because she wasn't invited to a birthday party or something. ....wtf. One of the WORST. REASONING. EVER. ...and Chernabog is not a Disney villain. HE HAS BECOME ONE, but he doesn't really do anything "villain-ish" in his segment from Fantasia. ...why people think he is a villain I'll never get. ANYWAYS.
In his song, Facilier is like, "Don't Blame Me, You Can Blame My Friends On the Other SIIIIIIIIDE" and I thought it would be funny if there was a mini-comic where he just does random stuff, people get pissed at him and he's all like, "Well, 8D, Don't blame me! You can blame my friends on the other side~! Bye now!" Like if he didn't pay his bill or something, lol.
THE OTHER idea that started to circulate and has now built up is...
"TALES OF" The Princess and the Frog.
...I'm insane.
I actually noticed a LOT of parallels (from what I know of) between Dr. Facilier and Barbatos Goetia. So I thought it would be funny if Barbatos was Dr. Facilier. ...but then I expanded it. So, at current (this is without seeing the movie but it's so amusing in my head) I thought of these characters playing the other:
Zelos = Prince Naveen
Natalia? = Tiana
Barbatos = Dr. Facilier
Reid = Ray
Meredy = Mama Odie
Raine = Tiana's Mother
Largo = Tiana's Father? (It makes sense if you've played Abyss)
Shirley = That other girl Tiana hung out with in the intro who was really bratty (I Hate Legendia, so I get my revenge, 8D)
Lawrence = Genis (XD)
I haven't thought of anyone for Louis, but I don't want it to be Johnny Sheeden. ...cause I don't like him, XD. Some members of "Reid"'s family would probably be other stupid Tales characters (like Stahn and Lloyd).
I'm probably missing some other ones, but yeah, this whole idea evolved from me saying, "it'd be funny if Barbatos was Dr. Facilier."
My mind is insane.
...and I got Friends on the other--*Shot*
...well, now that I'm dead we're on the same side. Fine then, be that way.
